After numerous leaks and rumors, Oppo finally released its budget smartphone called Oppo A92. With the new device, the company has expanded its A series line in the country. Looking at the specs and design, it looks like the A92 is nothing more than an Oppo A72 renowned for the Malaysian market.
Unsurprisingly, the new A92 follows a similarly designed approach with quad cameras, a drilled hole, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Well here is everything you need to know about the device.
Oppo A92: price, availability
Oppo A92 has now hit the Malaysian market priced at MYR 1199 (i.e. approximately $ 277). It comes in a single memory variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in memory. The smartphone comes in three color options: Twilight Black, Aurora Purple, and Stream White.
As for availability, the device is now available for pre-order through Oppo’s Malaysia e-store. Global availability, on the other hand, remains unknown.
Specifications, Features
Speaking of specs, the new Oppo A92 is equipped with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 405 PPI. The display features a drill hole cutout in the upper left corner that houses the front snapper. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal UFS 2.1 memory. If that’s not enough, you can expand memory using a microSD card.
In terms of optics, there is a four-camera module with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro, and another 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16MP front snapper below the piercing cutout. Backed by a 5,000 mAh battery, the device supports 18W fast charging and runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7.1.1 skin on top.
For biometrics, we’re looking at a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with a software-based face unlock. Other specs include dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, USB Type-C port, and GPS.
