A man was killed and seven people were injured, including two seriously, in a series of stabbings that took place Saturday night and Sunday in central Birmingham, UK. Police are searching for the alleged perpetrator and have opened a murder investigation. He said there were 4 stabbing episodes in total, which lasted from midnight to 2:30 am on Saturday morning; At the moment, the attacks do not appear to be motivated by terrorism or linked to organized crime.

Police had been warned of the assaults around midnight and a half and rushed to the scene with ambulances. Initially she had spoken of “a serious accident”, a formula that indicates any situation that involves serious injuries or a serious risk to the safety of people, and said that “we are still working to understand what happened, it could take a while. ” time before I can confirm anything. Mayor Andy Street confirmed that there have been several incidents in the Hurst Street area and that “the reason is not yet known. The area is now quiet and people can go back to work while still being alert. ‘ BBC writes that the area, which was initially cordoned off and closed to the public, is located at the junction between the gay village and the city’s Chinatown, a very crowded area with outdoor tables.
