On Thursday the rains return to the northwest and to Sardinia

In the coming years, the high pressure will recede, leaving room for a low-pressure vortex that, coming from the western Mediterranean, will once again approach Italy. Clouds on the western side of the country will therefore increase, with rains mainly wetting the northwest and Sardinia, while temperatures, despite a slight decrease, will continue to have general summer characteristics. The low-pressure vortex, as it slowly slides towards the African shores, will affect the weather conditions in Italy also on Friday, with showers and thunderstorms concentrated mainly in the Tyrrhenian and Greater Islands regions. Over the weekend, the low pressure center will recede and the high pressure will again gain ground in Italy: therefore a generally sunny weekend awaits us, except for some residual instability in the Greater Islands on Saturday.

Weather forecast for Thursday. Thursday very cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms, locally even strong, over Sardinia. Some clouds also in most parts of the north and the interior of the center, but alternating with flashes of good weather and with showers and isolated storms only in the Alps, the Ligurian Apennines and the hills of Abruzzo, in extension by the afternoon also to the plains of Piedmont and Lombardy. Generally sunny in the rest of Italy. Maximum temperatures decrease in the Alpine Arc and Sardinia, almost unchanged elsewhere.

Friday day between sun and clouds in the Northwest, Eastern Alps, much of the Center, Calabria and the Greater Islands, with showers and isolated storms over Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Upper Lombardy, South Tyrol, Central Apennines, Sicily and Sardinia. At night it rains almost everywhere. Generally stationary or slightly decreasing temperatures.
