(Teleborsa) – Eni Rewind, an environmental company of Eni specialized in the rehabilitation and valorization of natural resources from a circular perspective, received from ArcelorMittal Italy the mandate to assist in the design of the Recovery of the area of the ancient Ilva di Taranto.
The contract – says Eni Rewind in a note – also includes specialized assistance in the authorization process aimed at approval by the bodies in charge of the operational safety project at the ArcelorMittal Italia plant in Taranto.
As part of the environmental investigations, already launched by ArcelorMittal, further characterizations of the soils, on which the plants are spread, are foreseen through 3D and hydrogeological conceptual models. The objective is to gather more information to update the security measures already in place and to plan the operational security of the area, minimizing the impact on the operations of the steel industry.
