67 VICTIMS OF COVID IN MOLISE, PATIENT DIES OF ISERNIA IN INFECTIOUS
Even today, November 14, 2020, Molise records a death from covid. This is a 95-year-old woman from Isernia who died in the infectious diseases ward of the Cardarelli hospital. Even in his case, as has already happened with dozens of other sick citizens, hospital treatment could not work the miracle. Too serious are the complications triggered by the virus that caused an extensive infection in the lungs.
Molise has been recording daily deaths for weeks. Since the beginning of November, 20 people have been counted among the COVID deaths, almost two per day on average. Yesterday, November 13, 4 deaths, one of the regrettably painful records of this second and terrible stage. A 62-year-old street vendor from Campobasso, an 86-year-old man from Termoli, a 91-year-old woman from Capracotta and a 73-year-old woman from Scontrone, in the province of L’Aquila, died. Today this new death, which expands the list of mourning in our region.
ADMISSIONS FOR COVID STILL RISE, NEVER SO MUCH: 67 PATIENTS IN CARDARELLI
Today there are a record number of hospitalizations at the Cardarelli de Campobasso hospital, which are already suffering greatly. A total of 67 patients hospitalized with covid, of which 7 in intensive care and 60 in the infectious diseases ward, are now being expanded to a large part of the capital’s hospital where in recent days new wings have been obtained to receive patients with infection needing medical attention.
8 hospitalizations in the last hours, with patients from Isernia, Ferrazzano, Termoli (2) Campobasso Montecilfone, Venafro and Larino. These are moments of great tension in the Campobasso facility where, in addition to the shortage of beds, obtained with improvised stations to meet the demand of the entire region, there is a very strong shortage of doctors and health workers. From this point of view and the Molise data remain extremely negative.
The only positive note is the two resignations today: a patient from Termoli and another from Busso left Infectious Diseases.
86 NEW POSITIVES, CLUSTERS GROW IN CAMPOBASSO AND TERMOLI
The number of positives in the last 24 hours, according to the results provided by the Cardarelli molecular biology laboratory in Campobasso, amounts to 86 newly infected. Campobasso and Termoli continue to be the two centers where the positives continue to increase. In the regional capital there are 17 that are added to those already certified and in isolation. In the Adriatic locality, on the other hand, there are 8. The others are distributed in numerous localities of Molise, among them Agnone (3) Civitanova del Sannio (3) Isernia (6), Matrice (3), Petacciato (2), Venafro ( 5).
MONITORING OF THE SUPERIOR INSTITUTE OF HEALTH
Molise appears to be the only region of Italy with moderate risk, although “with a high probability of progression”. This is what emerges from the ISS files related to the most recent monitoring. Let us remember that among the ‘yellow’ regions there are only Lazio, Sardinia, Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige and, precisely, Molise. And the Rt indicator, or the virus transmissibility index, has dropped compared to the previous week’s assessment, and now stands at around 1.31 (the Italian average is 1.4).

NATIONAL DATA
The daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health announces that 37,255 new cases of Sars-Cov-2 have been registered in Italy in the last 24 hours. The total number of swabs currently processed is 227,695. The victims were 544. The hospitalized patients with symptoms today are 31,398 (+484), while the most serious patients in intensive care are 3,306 (+76). The positivity rate in Italy today is 16.36%, slightly higher than yesterday when it was 16.05%.
Like the day before, yesterday there were 40,902 new coronavirus infections of 254,908 swabs and 550 victims. Admissions to intensive care were +60, ordinary ones +1041.
