It will be a somewhat different end of the year, a little less capricious, more sober, without a doubt in the red zone. From midnight on Wednesday December 30, Italy returned to the blockade, after 72 hours “orange”. A situation that will last until January 3, inclusive. On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eve (Friday 1 January) the provisions of the “red zones” apply throughout the country.

This year will therefore be New Year’s Eve without dinner in a restaurant, party, toast in the nightclubs or in the square until the early hours of 2021: the Dpcm of December 3 provides that from January 22 from 31 to 7 on January 1, both any movement is prohibited , both between regions and between municipalities, and within them, except for reasons of proven labor need, situations of need or health reasons (in this case self-certification is required). It is always possible to return to your home or address.

Regarding dinner at home, the government has not expressed any prohibition on what happens in private homes, but has issued a recommendation: “As few guests as possible, preferably belonging to the same group of people who live together.”

Sanctions

In the event of infringement of the strictest driving bans, an administrative penalty of 400 to 1,000 euros is applied, possibly increased to one third if the infringement occurs through the use of a vehicle.

Allowed to move to second homes

Transfers of a cohabiting family unit to second residences are always allowed, from 5 to 22, within their own Region and always prohibited to other Regions. It is allowed to move to the second home, even if it is in the name of several co-owners, of a single cohabiting family unit. The person or two people who move can still bring their children under the age of 14 and the disabled or non-self-sufficient people they live with.
