This time due to a salary increase that the INPS president would have obtained – still with retroactive effect in the form of a single bonus – thanks to an inter-ministerial decree, signed on August 7 by the Minister of Labor, Nunzia Catalfo and her colleague. The news immediately found fertile ground among the opposition already strongly aligned against the leaders of the Institute and that opened a veritable barrage against Tridico with a single common denominator: immediate resignation. Among the first to intervene, La Liga, with its leader: “I have no words. Tridico pays the dismissals, then apologizes and resigns,” attacks Matteo Salvini from his social profiles, which immediately echoes the party’s labor manager Claudio Durigon, who wonders where “the INPS monitoring offices are, which in August had denounced, in a public ban list, the crooks of the 600 euro bond”. But it’s not just the League that attacks Tridico. Even Fdi and Forza Italia are aligned and compactly take sides against what is, says the president of the Fi senators, Anna Maria Bernini, “the new frontier of grillismo in power: the rent of pride”.
The majority are silent and the only one who intervenes, questioned by journalists during a stage of his tour of Campania, is Chancellor Luigi Di Maio who, however, limits himself to saying: “I will ask for a clarification on this in the next few hours” . But this is not enough. And the list of criticisms lengthens. Hard on the two group leaders of the League, Massimiliano Romeo and Riccardo Molinari. “It is unacceptable that, while thousands of Italians are still waiting for cigarettes, Tridico increases his salary, also demanding arrears, with the approval of the Five Stars and Minister Catalfo. But with what courage …”, writes the president of the senators of the Northern League. . “The 100,000 euro bonus to Tridico leaves us astonished”, repeats the colleague of the Chamber: “while thousands of Italians wait, Pd-5S rewards the disability”. Forza Italia is not giving up either. “The workers are still waiting for the dismissals and the president of the INPS has thought instead of increasing their salary,” denounces the Italian vice president in the Senate, Licia Ronzulli. “After the catastrophic management of the institution, based on the lack of controls on applications for citizenship income, this new scandal requires an immediate change at the top of the INPS,” he adds, explaining that “it is not acceptable for those who, to to save the cost of a coffee a day, he wanted the parliamentarians to be cut to allow his friends in high positions to double their salary ”.
