The situation of Covid in Italy according to the newsletter of September 27, 2020. The new infections registered in the last 24 hours are 1,766. I am currently in intensive care 254 people (7 more than yesterday) and 2,846 are hospitalized (100 more than yesterday). Among the regions in which there are new cases, Campania (245) occupies the first place, followed by Lombardy (216), Lazio (181) and Sardinia (139).

There were five deaths (grand total: 16,946).

Emilia-Romagna, 96 cases
In Emilia-Romagna, 96 new cases of Sars-Cov2 have been detected in the last 24 hours based on almost 9,300 swabs and more than 2,000 serological tests. Of the new infections, 54 are asymptomatic people identified through detection and contact tracing activities. There is a new victim, a 93-year-old man in Parma. The number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care has decreased, two less for a total of 15 hospitalized, while there is one more patient for a total of 201 in the other Covid departments. The average age of new cases, reports the Region, is 38 years. Regarding the situation in the territory, the highest number of cases is registered in the provinces of Reggio Emilia (17), Piacenza (14), Bologna (13), Parma (11) and Forlì (12). Overall, active cases, i.e. the number of actual patients, are 4,682 to date (-35 compared to yesterday).

Calabria, 31 infections
The cases of coronavirus in Calabria grow again, 31, more than double yesterday, with 1,870 swabs processed, which brings the total of positives since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,952 compared to the 195,309 tests carried out. Active cases are 544 (+31), while those cured remain stable at 1,308 and victims at 100. Intensive care patients are still 2, while those in infectious disease wards are 35 (+5). There are 507 people in home isolation, Cosenza today registers 27 cases, of which 24 are migrants, of which two are in serological investigation and one is a known contact case. Reggio Calabria reports two cases, Vibo an intercepted by serological and Catanzaro a contagion by contact tracing. The newsletter of the Region informs it. Piedmont, 132 new patients
Cases of positivity for the coronavirus in Piedmont continue to rise. 132 have been registered today (compared to 107 yesterday), 98 of which are asymptomatic. Those considered “imported” are eight. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total is 35,038. The Crisis Unit reported one death, which took place in recent days and only later dates back to Covid. Therefore, the total rises to 4,161. Sardinia, 139 positives
New increase in infections in Sardinia. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 139 new cases were registered, 104 detected through screening activities and 35 due to suspected diagnosis. There was also the death of a 93-year-old woman hospitalized in Cagliari. There are a total of 149 victims. The total number of positive cases of Covid-19 verified in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency amounted to 3,730. A total of 184,449 swabs were performed, an increase of 2,485 tests compared to the last update. On the other hand, 110 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (+1 compared to yesterday’s figure), while the number of patients (18) in intensive care remains unchanged. There are 1,836 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 1,610 (+10) recovered patients, plus another 7 clinically recovered. In the territory, of the 3,730 positive cases verified in total, 581 (+10) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 384 (+30) in southern Sardinia, 301 (+29) in Oristano, 454 (+33 ) in Nuoro, 2010 (+37) in Sassari.
Abruzzo, 47 new cases
There are 47 new cases of coronavirus verified with the tests of the last hours in Abruzzo: 20 refer to the Pescara area, eleven to Chietino, seven to Aquila and four to Teramo, while the origin controls have been in place for five . There is also a recent death, a 90-year-old from Montesilvano (Pescara). The death toll stands at 478. Current cases involve people between the ages of 1 and 89. The positives currently amount to 862: 55 people are hospitalized, five of them in intensive care; the other 807 patients are in home isolation. The healed are 3,040.
