The Regions are asking the new government: they want a dam against contagion, but also measures that take into account the objective reality of the cases in the area and the economic suffering. For this reason, as Stefano Bonaccini, president of the Conference of Regions, underlined, “it is necessary that regional restrictive measures be adopted with the agreement of the Minister of Health.” But on the possibility of a totally orange Italy, or of homogeneous restrictions for the entire national territory, there are dissensions.
On the proposal presented on Friday by President Stefano Bonaccini, Tuscany, Campania and Lombardy agree, but the vice president of the Conference, Giovanni Toti, governor of Liguria, has expressed his opposition. “The country hopes to restart,” he said. And he proposed a national yellow zone. The Regions want a “decisive change of pace in the vaccination campaign and for economic recovery.” And the president of the Conference of the Regions Stefano Bonaccini underlines: “The measures must be known well in advance and without delay by citizens and companies.” The other request is that “for measures that introduce particular restrictions for individual territories, the compensation for the categories involved is also activated at the same time.” Faced with a hypothetical totally orange Italy, Lega leader Matteo Salvini also thundered. “Enough of the announcements, the alarms and the preventive fears,” he wrote on Facebook, stigmatizing the “unjustified and generalized confinements.”
One of the first decisions that the government will have to make will be to stop mobility between regions with the decree that expires on February 25: the intention, given the data, is to extend the block at least until March 5 when the current one dpcm expires Anti-Covid Measured Standards.
