While waiting for confirmation when moving the Campania – that could go from the yellow zone to tomorrow Red zone Liguria, Tuscany, Abruzzo, Basilicata and Umbria pass to the area orange, since Wednesday.

These are the novelties of the Covid risk map in Italy, determined by the data received by the government in the last hours. The Minister of Health signed the ordinance with the new categorization, Roberto Speranza.

The map of Italy drawn by these new categorizations, meanwhile, we repeat, of the decision on Campania, scheduled for tomorrow – therefore the following:

Red zone: Lombardy, Piedmont, Aosta Valley, Calabria
Orange zone: Liguria, Tuscany, Abruzzo, Basilicata, Umbria, Puglia, Sicily
Yellow zone: Basilicata, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Marche, Molise, Province of Trento, Sardinia, Veneto.

The province of Bolzano was also declared a red zone by Governor Kompatscher, although the categorization of the Ministry of Health did not foresee the maximum restrictions for this territory.

The decision on Campania has been postponed one day.

Minister Speranza to confirm that Tuesday will be dedicated to analyzing the data situation in Campania. Governor Vincenzo De Luca asked and we agreed on the need to deepen the panorama to decide in which band the Region should be.

The bulletin: rapidly worsening epidemic

In the weekly report, the Istituto Superiore di Sanit confirms that the epidemic in Italy is rapidly worsening. In most of the national territory compatible with a type 3 scenario but the number of Regions where the transmission speed is already compatible with a 4 scenario is increasing.
According to scientists, it is confirmed that a generalized and generalized situation is very serious throughout the national territory with criticisms now evident in many Italian regions. The situation described in this report highlights strong criticalities of the territorial services and the current or imminent achievement of the critical thresholds of occupation of hospital services in all the Regions. All Regions are classified at high risk for an uncontrolled and unmanageable epidemic in the territory or at moderate risk with a high probability of progressing to high risk in the coming weeks.

• Abruzzo: sudden jump in the epidemic curve on October 19, with an increase in daily cases of around 50%;

The worst regions

Basilicata: a sharp jump in the epidemic curve on October 14, with an increase in daily cases of around 100%, which then remained stable; on the other hand, the increase in hospitalized patients is progressive;

• Lombardy: two very high peaks on October 25 and 28 (also present in the November 5 curve), with about 1000 more cases than in the next few days; • Marche: sudden doubling of daily cases as of October 24, against a progressive increase in daily hospitalizations;

Piedmont: the decrease in RT symptoms in the last days seems too pronounced: it could be an underestimate due to the delay in data entry;

Tuscany: Cases suddenly tripled after October 26-27; • Trento: significant deviation in trends between symptomatic Rt (decreasing) and hospital Rt (increasing);

Umbria: Sudden increase in cases of more than 50% from October 27 to 29.

Governor Toti on Facebook

The President of Liguria, Giovanni Toti, announced on Facebook: Liguria from Wednesday November 11 will become the orange zone for the next 14 days. Minister Speranza just told me. Although I am perplexed by the difference in treatment compared to last week, given more or less similar figures, I think it is correct not to enter into controversy with the government and take note of this decision. Without a doubt, our hospitals are under great pressure, the medical world is asking for interventions and in these situations we believe that the criterion of prudence should always prevail.
