The number of positive swabs is increasing, reaching a record 631 cases. It is the result of the latest regional bulletin that confirms the upward trend. Against 5,339 tests, 631 positive cases were registered: 284 in the province of Bari, 32 in the province of Brindisi, 101 in the province of Bat, 123 in the province of Foggia, 36 in the province of Lecce, 60 in the province of Taranto, 6 attributed to residents outside the region (11 cases of unknown residence have been reclassified and attributed).
“The daily number of infections in slight and continuous increase – declared the Councilor for Health Policies, Pier Luigi Lopalco – is consequently accompanied by pressure on the Regional Health Service, both in local services and in the hospital system. Everyone’s effort to stop the growth of infections is important. In the coming weeks we must reduce our social contacts to the minimum necessary.
There were also 10 deaths: 6 in the province of Bari, 1 in the province of Brindisi, 2 in Foggia, 1 in the province of Taranto. Since the beginning of the emergency, 518,574 tests have been carried out, 5,977 are cured patients and 7,398 are currently positive cases.
The total of positive cases of Covid in Puglia is 14031, of which 5,879 in the province of Bari, 1,372 in the province of Bat, 1,017 in the province of Brindisi, 3,342 in the province of Foggia, 1,048 in the province of Lecce, 1,272 in the province of Taranto and 101 attributed to residents outside the region.
