According to the indiscretions coming from the Palazzo Chigi reported by the newspaper Il Messaggero, the measures that the Government is studying – which should come into force as of the next few days – foresee the obligation to wear the mask outdoors, early closure for all meeting venues and spectator limitations for shows and sporting events. A necessary closure, most likely, to avoid further spread of the virus and the risks of a new generalized quarantine.
Early closure for gyms, clubs and restaurants: what the new DPCM brings
According to Corriere della Sera, the new Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers must be presented to the Chamber of Deputies as of next Tuesday and will contain new restrictive measures. Gyms, discos and restaurants should be the first to be affected.
According to rumors reported by the press, the gyms and beauty centers They could be forced to severely limit the presence of people inside the facilities, even to close their doors. Similar measures should be taken also for discos, cinemas and theaters. In fact, the government is studying new ways to access venues that host public shows and events. Obviously, the new restrictions would also affect stadiums and sports halls.
If the situation worsens (more than 3,000 to 3,500 infections per day, contact tracing could be difficult to implement), even catering activities would end up under the government’s scrutiny. In this case, it would be imposed again distance between tables and diners and early closing at 10pm or 11pm (as already established in France). The last step would concern the other business activities, which would be closed again. School and productive activities, on the other hand, would remain open.
