New clashes in the center of Naples, in Piazza dei Martiri, where some protesters detonated three paper bombs. The police responded with a charge, dispersing the protesters. After a second launch of eggs with red paint against the door of the Palazzo Partanna, headquarters of the Industrial Union of Naples and Confindustria Campania, a part of the protesters present in the square tried to march in the direction of Via Chiaia, launching the choir: “Parade, parade.” Tension quickly escalated until a clash between the front line of protesters and the police, who responded with lightning action, pushing the protesters towards Via Carlo Poerio.

The events broke out at the end of the demonstration organized by the social centers, with the support of other acronyms, in front of the Confindustria headquarters in Piazza dei Martiri. During the demonstration, eggs with red paint were thrown at the door of the building. Then, in front of the entrance, a banner was placed with the inscription: “Four deaths at work a day, this is violence.” A small group of German “Antifa” with a flag and then a group of members of the Carc (Committees to support the communist resistance) arrived in the square shortly before the incidents, with the explosion of three paper bombs and the launching of bottles against the Police.

The demonstration was called by social centers and unions such as Cobas, Sindicato de Trabajadores en Lucha, SI Cobas and other groups in 20 cities in Italy against Confindustria policies. On the closure, the protesters said that they were not against but on the condition that “for the unemployed and workers there is a guaranteed full salary.”
