(ANSA) – FOGGIA, OCT 20 – New arson attack against the social structures of the Vigilante brothers of Foggia. It is the fourth since the beginning of the year, the last in total closure in April, with a bomb in front of the ‘Stefano’s smile’ elderly center. Last night, however, the entrance door of the ‘Restauration Più’ in via Saverio Altamura was set on fire, where meals are prepared for the facilities of ‘Sanità più’.
“This is a real challenge. They want to burn the earth around us until we stop doing business.” This is the comment made to ANSA by Luca Vigilante, administrative director of “Sanità Più”, already escorted since last January after suffering the first two bomb attacks.
Since the beginning of the year, the brothers Luca and Christian Vigilante have been run over, for the first time, on the night of January 3: unknown persons blew up Christian Vigilante’s car in via d’Aragona. Then, not even two weeks later, in the early morning of January 16, a bomb exploded in front of the “Sorriso di Stefano” day center for the elderly in via Vincenzo Acquaviva; For this episode, the alleged perpetrator was arrested last April. And on April 1, the senior center was attacked again, in total closure. What was known last night was a man with his face covered, who arrived by bicycle in front of the ‘Più Restoration’: after having done an inspection, he returned and doused the entrance door with flammable liquid, then starting the fire. The flames caused considerable damage, but the structure, the owners say, will continue to function regularly. (HANDLE).
