Downtown Los Angeles Lakers Dwight Howard reportedly got into an argument with some members of the Denver Nuggets coaching staff after winning Game 2. According to The Athletic journalist, Sam Amick, the Lakers center, after Anthony Davis’ winning game, he would have made fun of the Nuggets bench. In particular, the center would have been expressed as follows:
“Go home! Go home!”
Later, a small group of Nuggets staff, including one of Jokic’s personal trainers (Felipe Eichenberger, ed), would approach menacingly in the direction of the Lakers bench. The latter would not have liked Howard’s constant taunts during the game.
Reportedly, after a brief exchange of words, the situation would be resolved in silence. We’ll see if Dwight’s strategy of taunting opponents in any way will pay dividends for the violet yellow. The risk, however, is that of having once again awakened the pride of the Nuggets, who in these playoffs have already shown that they know how to overcome difficult moments.
It will be up to the Lakers to better manage the series to reach the NBA Finals.
