On the afternoon of September 5, Francesco Belleggia, 23 years old, with a degree in surveyor and with the dream of joining the police, leaves Artena, where he lives with his parents (working father, mother housewife), and arrives in Colleferro with a friend. It’s a short trip, ten and a half kilometers, a quarter of an hour by car. The two intend to have a couple of spritzes at “Duedipicche”, a very popular restaurant-pub in the city center, the scene of the local nightlife. When they are inside the restaurant, they see Mario Pincarelli arrive in the company of another person. Belleggia and Pincarelli know each other, both are from Artena. They don’t call themselves friends, but they decide to sit around the table for a drink anyway. In the restaurant, seated at a separate table, are the two Bianchi brothers, Marco and Gabriele, but although they are also from Artena (they live in the Colubro neighborhood at their parents’ house), they remain on the sidelines. Indeed, after a while they leave, in the company of another person and three girls. They see them all get into the black Audi Q7 of the Bianchi brothers and disappear.

It’s getting late, it’s 2.30. The friend Belleggia came to Artena with has already left, leaving him on foot. He has been drinking with Pincarelli and is looking for a ride back home. He finds him, but the group, there are three, decides to stay a little longer and chat on the steps that lead to the field in front of the club. Pincarelli is high, he drank too much. At that moment two girls pass by the stairs, and Pincarelli comes out with a “precious” addressed to one of them, followed by the gesture of sending her a kiss with his hand. The girl, Azzurra, however, is not alone: right behind her is her boyfriend, Alessandro Rosati. She is from Colleferro and she is with some friends. She didn’t like what she just saw, she’s going to complain to Pincarelli. Belleggia understands that the situation can end really badly, also because there are more than three Colleferresi. Then she apologizes to Rosati. “Forget it, he’s drunk, he doesn’t know what he’s saying. I apologize on his behalf.” It seems to be there, but it is not.

Willy’s friend’s intervention
Federico Zurma, a friend of both Rosati and Willy, attends the place. He arrived at “Duedipicche” around 11:30 pm. Zurma also seems to have had too much to drink. He gets in the way, walks over to Belleggia and looks him in the eye. Belleggia has the impression of wanting to hit him with the head. Instead he does not hit him, it is Belleggia who pushes him with a push, maybe even a slap, causing him to fall to the ground. The situation is heating up, and quite a bit. Belleggia realizes that she has taken a wrong step. In front of him, a boy, known as “the rugby player”, says: “I don’t dislike you just because you have a cast on your arm.” Zurma got up and is now arguing with some enthusiasm with Belleggia. The two, however, have moved away from the stairs, they are near the kiosk across the street. At a distance of three meters is also Willy, who tries to calm things down, to act as a peacemaker. Belleggia and Zurma are not fighting, they are talking. They have moved again, they are in the dark park in front of them. And Belleggia apologizes for the shove. “Let’s not ruin the evening for this stupid,” they hear him say. It’s three in the morning.

The arrival of the Bianchi brothers
On the road, the Audi of the Bianchi brothers swoops down, pinches beside it with a brake. It was Michele Cerquozzi who called them on their mobile phones and asked them to return to “Duedipicche” as soon as possible because they need them. Cerquozzi is a boy who lives in Contrada Colubro in Artena, a neighbor of the Bianchi. Marco and Gabriele get out of the Audi and, so tell several witnesses, including Belleggia, they start beating up three guys from the Colleferresi group. Among these is also Willy. Belleggia in front of the prosecutor, however, denied having participated in the beating, much less having beaten the victim: “I didn’t touch him! I didn’t touch him!” He says. It is reportedly Gabriele, the older of the two, who launches the wild kick. But the fight, investigators are convinced, Pincarelli also attended. In fact, like the Bianchi brothers, she remains in prison.

The fight has many chilling details, so the investigating judge believes that he is the key witness, his name is Emanuele Cenciarelli, who was at the scene with other friends and Willy himself, during the hours of the beating. “As far as I can remember, all the boys kicked and hit Willy and me. I have a vivid memory of a couple of them even jumping over Willy’s body lying on the ground and already helpless. That they were the Bianchi brothers can be easily deduced by reading the description of the many particular signs: “I remember that one wore a white shirt and had a tear tattooed on his face below the eye, as well as several tattoos on both arms and hands.
