Movements between municipalities at Christmas, the ‘rigorist’ line passes

The approval will be within the first days of the week in parliament, because it assumes responsibility for a decision that part of the government (such as Ministers Speranza, Boccia and Franceschini) does not agree at all. In the first place, obviously, it will be necessary to rigidly establish what to grant for next Christmas, from the point of view of movements between Italian territories. The initial hope of the more ‘permissive’ margins of the Conte executive, who has also reached one of the decisive steps in his government history, is to give the green light to movements between municipalities in the same regional territory, ended up in the attic as desired by the Higher Institute of Health and the Scientific Technical Committee, which, facing January, already imagine a ‘third wave’ scenario.

SPECIAL COVID – UMBRIAON

Thus, the initial enthusiasm, well represented by the publication of Minister Di Maio calling for more space for the ‘Christmas’ freedom of Italians, was soon rejected by a crude analysis of the situation, which in recent days has seen a slowdown in the figures linked to Covid – nationwide – more content than expected. Thus, the Christmas derogations, while waiting to know the technical procedures that will be adopted at the legislative level, could only affect municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants and within a radius of 20 kilometers. It is not excluded, then, that the concession – which much discussion now makes it seem almost a ‘squeeze’ – concerns only neighboring municipalities. On the days in which to implement it then, the initial hypothesis of December 25, 26 and January 1, could leave room for that – here too – ‘restrictive’ that sees possible movements only at Christmas. In short, the initial impulse was transmitted only to the residents of the small municipalities (those who live in the cities will have to stay there), whose difficulties arose immediately with some evidence.
