Masterpiece of Franco Morbidelli: the Petronas team centaur wins his first race in MotoGP dominating the San Marino Grand Prix. At Misano, the Yamaha rider finishes on the podium with the Ducati rider Bagnaia and Suzuki centaur Me. Big tease for valentino rossi, who loses third place on the last lap and finishes fourth.
Viñales is sixth, ends up on the ground Quartararo. In the general classification now Dovizioso rules, finished seventh.
THE RACE
Wonderful departure from Morbidelli, immediately in command after a great shot at the start. Follow him Valentino rossi, then Ducati rider Jack Miller, who surprises the other two Yamahas de Viñales and Quartararo. Dovizioso ninth.
Rossi closely scores Morbidelli and it prevents him from fleeing, behind the fight for the fourth position between Viñales and Quartararo with the Frenchman who seems to have more but cannot sink the blow. The KTMs are suffering a lot, far from the leaders.
Turn on the eighth lap: Quartararo’s World Cup leader ends up on the ground, which manages to restart but is in the penultimate position.
Mid-career Morbidelli begins to take advantage of Rossi, followed by Miller, Rins and Pecco Bagnaia in great return. Viñales fights and falls to seventh position, closely followed by Dovizioso.
While Morbidelli is now clearly ahead of Valentino by more than a second and a half, behind them the battle for third place between Rins, Bagnaia and Miller begins.
Ten laps to go Morbidelli flies to victory, the Doctor tries to hold onto his second position, but Mir’s Suzuki is now behind him. Then there is Bagnaia.
Morbidelli dominates, behind a spectacular Bagnaia takes you to second place, overtaking Rossi (in tire difficulty) and Rins fighting each other.
Valentino ends up under attack from the two Suzuki Mir and Rins: the centaur of Tavullia drives to the limit to keep the podium. Bagnaia, second, is not far ahead.
High voltage power amplifier: Morbidelli crosses the finish line first after a dominated race, behind is Bagnaia, Mir teases Rossi and ranks third.
