Lap 21 – Rins’ Suzuki flies down the straight, but Marquez drives aggressively on the mixed. Marquez risk on the last corner. A second and four tenths of advantage of the two in advantage over Mir.

Lap 6 – Rins halves the distance with the race leader Viñales: from 8 tenths to 4. The Suzuki rider is half a second ahead of Quartararo. Márquez conquers the sixth position with a nice overtake to Miller.

Lap 5: Rins moved to second place with a pass over Quartararo, having overtaken Morbidelli.

Lap 4 – Great pace from Rins, Dovizioso can’t recover.

Lap 2: Andrea Dovizioso loses one position and is ninth ahead of his teammate Petrucci. At the end of the second lap the top ten are: Viñales, Quartararo (fastest lap in 1’48 ”606), Morbidelli, Rins, Miller, Mir, Nakagami, Alex Márquez, Dovizioso and Petrucci.

Lap 1 – Viñales tries to stretch, a slight margin over the two Petronas. Dovizioso 8th.

The start – Morbidelli turns first in the first corner but swerves, Viñales and Quartararo take advantage and go ahead. Morbidelli third ahead of Rins, Miller, Mir.

14.55 – Everything is ready for departure. In the morning it was Takaaki Nakagami, the Japanese Honda LCR, who was the fastest in the warm up. Behind him Viñales (Yamaha) and Rins (Suzuki). Sixth time for Quartararo and ninth for Dovizioso.

THE WORLD CLASSIFICATION – Before the start of the GP of Aragon this is the situation of the World Championship in the first positions: Quartararo (Fra-Yamaha Petronas) 115 points; Mir (Spa-Suzuki) 105; Dovizioso (Ita-Ducati) 97; Viñales (Spa-Yamaha) 96; Nakagami (Giap-Honda LCR) 81.

14.43 – Motorcycles on the starting grid for the finishing touches. In Aragon it is hotter than in recent days, it is about thirty degrees on the asphalt.

Twenty-three laps for a total of 116.8 km to go, with 10 turns to the left and 7 to the right: this is the program of the MotoGP race in Aragon, all seasoned by a lot of wind and sand that ends in the track. The straight (almost 1 km) allows MotoGP riders to reach a maximum speed of 346 km / h, while the average speed in the race is 166.9 km / h. For statistics lovers: Marc Márquez is the most successful rider on the Aragón circuit, with 5 victories, followed by Jorge Lorenzo and Casey Stoner. Last year Márquez himself won, with two Ducatis behind him: those of Dovizioso and Miller.

There will be fun, that’s for sure, with a high number of protagonists. Minus one, Valentino Rossi, was stopped by the positivity of the coronavirus and, therefore, not at the start of the Grand Prix. Problems -of different kinds- also for another Italian: Andrea Dovizioso, furious and only 13th in the classification and excluded from Q2. We need a great comeback to keep the championship alive, as Quartararo starts from pole and Viñales from the front row. Here’s the starting grid:
