Shortly before 6 pm on Sunday, firefighters intervened on Via 29 Aprile in Schio for the fire that broke out on the third floor of an apartment building: three people were injured. When Schio’s team arrived, the residents: a family of three had jumped into the void to escape the flames, from two different parts of the house.
The man ended up disastrously on the asphalt, being seriously injured, while the woman threw herself with her baby of just over a year on a mattress, previously thrown. The mother and baby were also injured. All the injured were stabilized by Suem health workers and transferred to the Vicenza and Schio hospital. Fire crews also intervened from Vicenza with the ladder, put out the flames, which completely devastated the apartment. The causes of the fire are now being examined by the operators of the NIAT (territorial fire investigation unit) of the fire brigade. Rescue and security operations at the condominium ended late at night.
