From tomorrow there will be a new squeeze in other regions, especially Tuscany and Campania that from yellow will turn red and will suffer the lock light to which Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy and Calabria are already subjected. Other regions will go from yellow to orange with the aim of doubling the infection curve even more and getting out of the health emergency, which is bringing the country’s hospitals to their knees. “A very important element is that the proportion of asymptomatic people far exceeds 50%“, has explained Silvio Brusaferro, president of the ISS. However, in the face of a slowdown in the spread of the epidemic, the number of beds occupied in the Covid wards and in intensive care units continues to increase, although it seems that the growth rate has slowed down.
At the regional level, today the greatest increases in relation to hospitalizations of patients with coronavirus are registered in Lombardy, with 302 extra beds occupied respect yesterday. Followed by Emilia Romagna with 79, Lazio with 58, Puglia with 40, Veneto with 38. However, there are important decreases in Abruzzo, where compared to yesterday there are 22 beds less occupied in the rooms, in Campania with -73 units of employed hospitalization and in the Marche region, where there is a decided -75. Faced with a decline of this magnitude, the Marche region explained in a note that “the first aid data was separated from the patients, they were not yet hospitalizedIt is also worth noting the trend of hospitalizations in Campania, where a fluctuating trend has been observed for 4 days: on November 11, 16 new beds were occupied, on November 12 a decrease of 133 hospitalizations, the next day an increase of 209 patients and today a decrease of 73 hospitalized units. However, the largest increase in occupied intensive care places today is in Apulia, where there is an increase of 20 new patients. In Lombardy there was an increase of 16 and in Lazio of 9. Most of the deceased of the day occurred in Lombardy, 158 in 24 hours, followed by Veneto with 52, Emilia Romagna with 32, Tuscany with 42 and Lazio with 39.
