Ongoing investigation in Milazzo where a teenager had bathed despite the stormy sea

A Coast Guard noncommissioned officer jumped into the sea in Milazzo along with two other colleagues to save a teenager from the waves of more than seven meters, but could not reach the patrol boat from which he had dived and is now missing . The soldier rescued the boy who, despite the rough sea, had dived with another teenager to take a bath.

The incident occurred late this morning and the search for the NCO is still continuing. A Coast Guard plane flies over the long west coast and a patrol boat has left its moorings in Lipari. A tugboat had dropped its moorings from the port of Milazzo, however, it had to surrender at Capo Milazzo, due to the strong wind and waves reaching 10 meters in height. The commanding general of the coast guard has left Rome and should reach Milazzo in a few hours.
