Mirco Coffari, case manager at Hospice Villa Adalgisa, has died. The mayor of Ravenna, upon hearing the news, recalled it, explaining that “Our community loses a person of extraordinary humanity and great professionalism, highly esteemed by the entire socio-sanitary world and also by the families of the guests of the structure, who found in is a reference and a consolation. To his family, to his loved ones, to the entire IOR and to the companions of the Hospice, the deepest condolences from me and from the entire administration ”.

In addition to being president of Ciencia y Vida, he was the local contact person for the Defend Our Children committee and promoter of many cultural initiatives to spread the culture of life. From a professional point of view, after years in the front line as an emergency nurse and 118, he also dedicated himself to training as a didactic coordinator, tutor and teacher of Nursing Sciences and then held various coordination roles in Santa Teresa and within the Centro de Salud and, since 2014 at the Villa Adalgisa hospice, first as a nursing coordinator and then as Case manager. He leaves behind his wife Fiorella and his daughter Elisabetta, both well known in the Diocese for their commitment in the world of volunteering and youth ministry. Due to the health emergency, the funeral will be held strictly private but the family asks to join in prayer for his soul.

“We know him for his long service at the Santa Teresa Opera and later at the Hospice as a case manager, with his generous dedication and enthusiasm for his profession, at the service of life,” recalls the Archbishop of Ravenna-Cervia. Mons. Lorenzo Ghizzoni -. He dedicated himself to spreading the culture of life. A very strong loss for his family, for the Christian community, for the health service. Let us accompany his passage with prayer with the certainty that the Lord will receive him into his Kingdom ”.

“As People of the Family we express our condolences for the death of Coffari, who has always been involved in volunteer work and Christian commitment in the Ravenna community,” says Mirko De Carli, leader of the Riolo Terme City Council group for the Town of the Family. “I was able to collaborate with Mirco during the first years of the activity of the Committee” Defend our children “, after the two great Days of the Family in Rome in 2015 and 2016: I remember him as a person marked humanly by the Christian fact and arriving daily to help our neighbor and the weakest. As a Family People, we extend a more heartfelt embrace to his family and loved ones and we will place dear Mirco among those figures who have always marked the commitment of Christians in our city. “

“We are shocked by the death of the young Mirco, a well-known person in the social health sector and in the world of volunteering – says Gianfranco Spadoni, vice president of Lista for Ravenna -. Not only was he a valid nurse, but he embodied in himself a series of uncommon qualities of a charitable care type capable of responding to health and social needs The appreciated but delicate activity carried out in hospice in favor of the sick that are in very serious and irreversible conditions, it is only the last of its multiple fields of application of In other words, the anthropological “coming next” has always known how to combine health and managerial skills of great importance in a framework of generosity and sense ethics of the profession. It will continue to be a great memory and, above all, a person to be imitated from a human and professional point of view ”.
