The building on piazzale Libia 20, in the Porta Romana area, was declared unsafe on Saturday morning, affected by a violent explosion due, perhaps, to a gas leak, but the exact dynamics will be established during the day: in the place also the Deputy Prosecutor Tiziana Siciliano. The unavailability was declared by the Judicial Police of the Fire Department after the necessary and careful controls to examine the structures of the building, which has nine floors, the first three of which were particularly damaged. The entrance is cut off and the windows on the lower floors are completely destroyed.
Explosion in Milan: eight injured, one serious
The explosion occurred at 7.17 am on the first floor of the building, where there is a study and a medical office. Eight were injured, the most serious is the thirty-year-old of Ukrainian nationality who lives in the study: he is hospitalized in code red at the Niguarda hospital. He has second and third degree burns all over his body. The other injured are six women between 38 and 54 years old and a 15-year-old girl who injured her ankle while fleeing the building. A woman and a man were struck by the shattered glass from the power of the explosion. The injured are hospitalized in the Polyclinic (two people in the yellow code), in San Paolo (two people in the green code), in Fatebenefratelli (one person in the green code) and in Mangiagalli (one person in the green code).
