First the fever and breathing difficulties, then the desperate hospitalization. But for her there was nothing to do Mauro Pinotti
LUZZARA All the dreams of a 21-year-old girl were dashed by a damn virus. Martina had a thousand projects. Instead, there are two parents like Lucio and Silvia who now have to mourn their little daughter. They are pains that weaken the most stony faith and even the strongest characters.
Martina Bonaretti left at 6.30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Covid ward of the Guastalla hospital. The first symptoms of the disease had been accused 12 days before: fever, then shortness of breath, until hospitalization a week ago.
When he entered the Covid room, the situation was already compromised. Doctors intubated her, tried to stabilize her. His young physique held out for a few days, but then he went into cardiac arrest and there was nothing else to do.
Martina was a sweet and helpful girl. The family is very well known. When there is a need to help Civil Protection or some solidarity initiative, the Bonarettis are always there.
The first thing that caught her eye was Martina’s gaze: her dark eyes, with that long black hair that caressed her cheeks. As a student he had attended the “Mario Carrara” professional school in Guastalla. She specialized as a social welfare worker. Martina had an absolutely normal life. In this pandemic period, he has always respected the rules, avoided meetings whenever possible (his father also recalled yesterday).
I was at home waiting for a job opportunity. The day after she was admitted to the hospital, she had been called to provide support at school as she had done in the past.
Last year she met a boy, Davide Ciotti from Misano Adriatico, with whom she struck up a relationship. Davide, on his Facebook profile, below a photo, wrote: «You are my whole life my love now and always Martina Bonaretti».
His father Lucio has two brothers, Diego, with whom he runs the Abs Compressori company in via Circonvallazione Est 8 in Luzzara (they both live next to the shed, along with their mother Jenni) and Mirco, director of a Bper agency in Pistoia. Silvia’s mother works in her husband’s company. Martina also leaves behind a sister, Aurora, 16, a student.
His father Lucio, before assuming the role of entrepreneur, was a valid athlete: he played in Luzzara and achieved excellent results in cycling. The sports club has published a message of condolence for the death of Martina: «Gs Luzzara joins the pain over the premature death of Martina and offers Lucio, teammate and lifelong friend, as well as his entire family, a loving hug in this sad difficult time.
The funeral will be held today at 2.30 pm. After the mass, the body will be accompanied by the funeral honors of Bernardelli to the crematorium temple of Mantua. The family asked not for flowers but offers for Missioni for Africa in favor of Don Emanuele Benatti. –
