Avezzano. Infections increase on the face of beds that have been exhausted for weeks. In just one day, more than 100 infections were recorded according to the Abruzzo region bulletin. The total since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 2,201. Once again the Municipality of Avezzano continues to be the most affected in the area. The new positives in the city, according to data from the Abruzzo Region Health Department, were 65, in the previous days it had been 21 Fridays and 21 Thursdays. To these must be added another 53 infections in the other 36 municipalities. The total number of cases registered in the entire Marsican territory in the last 5 days is 511 infected. Another 22 cases registered in Marsica for which the medical residency has not yet been communicated.
In Avezzano the total number of positives since the start of the pandemic emergency amounts to 811, with 751 currently infected, while the number of people in quarantine, according to ASL data, exceeds 400. Other positives were reported by the regional health department in Trasacco 16 , Luco 13, Pescina 11. In Castellafiume they started rapid carpet tests and 17 people tested positive. However, cases must be confirmed by molecular swabbing through the official ASL circuit.
Two other victims in Marsica informed by the bulletin of the Abruzzo region. They are Teresa Fegatilli, 79, from Celano, who died at the San Salvatore de L’Aquila hospital where she had been admitted due to the worsening of her condition, and Francesco Morgante, 91, also from Celano, who in one day records two deaths.
