In fact, PM Gravina also questions premeditation, why Cipparano he allegedly planned the murder for several days, further demonstrating to some witnesses heard during the investigation his intention to assassinate in revenge the labor consultant, accused of having a clandestine relationship with the murderer’s wife. It is recalled how Cipparano himself, who was taken to the Manfredonia Police Station a few hours after the incident, confessed to being the perpetrator of the crime.
The defender, the lawyer Michele Sodrio, tells StatoQuotidiano.it the conclusion of the investigation: “At the time that Biagio Cipparano confessed to the murder, I was not his defender, but I was able to verify in the following months that, at the time of the event, my client was in very unbalanced psychological conditions, due to a whole series of serious problems. family problems, already ongoing for some time. Right in the period between the murder, Cipparano lived, in fact survived, in a state of severe mental confusion, sleeping in the car for many nights and wandering aimlessly during the day.
“Without taking anything away from the seriousness of the gesture he made, I think those psychological conditions were decisive in what he did. My objective will be to highlight these circumstances and for the judges to exclude the aggravating circumstance of premeditation. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to access the abbreviated procedure for this type of event, so it is almost certain that it will be discussed during the hearing in court.“.
