The assembly of parliamentarians of 5 star movement opened with the intervention of Vito Crimi: the chief political deputy opened the minutes of the joint meeting explaining the three possible scenarios for future M5s. The first of the possibilities, illustrated with many slides, involves an immediate vote on Rousseau on the new political leader. The alternative is to choose a collegiate body, a kind of political secretariat: this option would also be voted on on the M5 platform. The third scenario: perform the General states, led by a commission made up of parliamentarians, MEPs, regional councilors and municipal spokespersons (mayors or directors).

The assembly came to a very difficult time for the Movement, after the defeat in the regional elections and waiting to understand how the new political leader will be elected. The risk is that the internal dynamics will be reduced, as many big names have already pointed out, to a true war between gangs. Today he reiterated it Roberto Fico: “Enough of the internal battles, we must have a greater collegiality, because some problems still alive in the M5S derive from the too verticalism that has been. And those words, in many, I have read as an attack on the former political leader (still very present) Luigi di maio. Another reflection that has sparked much discussion today is that of Stefano Buffagni, Deputy Minister M5s: “I continue my struggle”, he wrote on Facebook, “although it is often exhausting and demotivating: the insufficiency of certain options, of some people and of the tones of the 5 Star Movement is at the base of the situation we are doing I hope we finish making ostriches, understanding in the right ways and places how to change, also chasing ‘the temple merchants.’

According to the parliamentarians, the Rousseau platform will be the “first” target of deputies and senators. As if the organizational difficulties were not enough, another clandestine war underway is precisely the one against Davide casaleggio. And it is no coincidence that the Referees of the Movement, these days, have opened the sanctioning procedure against those who campaigned for the No in the referendum, a procedure that is added to the one announced by Casaleggio himself, to the “backlogs” in the reports. And from some of the groups the accusation against Rousseau’s number one is not marginal: having changed, on the tirendiconto.it website, the deadline to be in compliance with returns (no longer in April but in the two previous months) earlier to send the warning email to elected officials. Terms that, a few days later, were reciprocal, returning to the initial deadline in April.

In these delicate internal balances, the figure of Giuseppe Conte. Ultimately, becoming leader of the Movement is not in her future plans, but she does not categorically exclude the possibility of having a role (also facing the next legislature).

Regarding the internal dynamics of the Movement, Secretary Pd also expressed himself Nicola Zingaretti: “I don’t want to escape the questions,” he said, “but it is not correct for me to speak, there is debate in the Movement and it is confirmed that the M5 is composite, it is not a monolith to hit Salvini’s right. I hope that the result of the internal confrontation will lead us to understand that we now have a common mission, we have saved Italy, now we have the mission of relaunching the economy, putting a project back in the field, creating jobs and fighting inequalities ”.
