Cremona – Drama in Cremona. A plane used for skydiving crashed around 10 o’clock and caught fire. Two victims. The accident occurred in the hamlet of Livrasco in the municipality of Castel Verde, province of Cremona. The dynamics of the accident are extremely rare: while the results of the first checks are confirmed, the paratrooper with the wingsuit hit the pillar of a wing causing the detachment of most of it and making the Pilatus unmanageable. The pilot and the paratroopers had deep experience.
Upon impact with the ground, the plane caught fire.

Taking off at 9.20 from the Aero Club del Migliaro, in Cremona, with the pilot and eight paratroopers on board, a Pilatus Porter C6 crashed this morning half an hour later in the field on the outskirts of the Lombard city. In the accident, which occurred when seven of the eight enthusiasts had already taken off, the 54-year-old pilot, originally from San Secondo Parmense (Parma) and resident of Fontevivo (Parma), Stefano “Griso” Grisenti, who had just celebrated his birthday, died. and one of the paratroopers transported, the last to jump, Alessandro “Tovax” Tovazzi, 41, born in Arco di Trento (Trento) but domiciled in Riva del Garda. A wingsuit ace, both as a base jumper and as an airplane.

For the moment, the most reputable hypothesis is that the impact between the right wing of the aircraft and the paratrooper, who launched himself with a wingsuit, could have triggered the fall of the plane. It remains to be understood, and it may not be easy, whether it was the 41-year-old from Trentino who hit the wing in the initial stages of launch or, instead, the pilot who struck the paratrooper already in flight. Certainly, no matter how it happened, the researchers believe that it is likely that that crash in the sky actually took place, and they surmise that it may have been decisive.

The wing was found partially detached: fatal damage to any aircraft, even a very robust mule like the mighty Pilatus.
