Luis Suárez’s point at Juventus: the Italian exam on Thursday, but with Barça it’s a tug of war

Juventus awaits Luis Suarez. Next Thursday will be a key day for the future of the ‘Pistolero’, called to take the long-awaited Italian exam necessary to obtain citizenship of our country and, consequently, to move to Juventus as a community footballer. The test, except for new twists, will take place at the University for Foreigners of Perugia and will allow the Uruguayan forward to overcome the obstacle of the passport once and for all.

Full agreement – Two years of contract for 10 million per season: between the delegation of Suárez and Juve there has been a total agreement for weeks. Because the former Ajax and Liverpool is the first option for the Paratici attack, who already dreams of a stellar trident with Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala. And also because Suárez himself would gladly move to Turin, convinced in recent days by phone calls with his compatriot Bentancur and with Captain Chiellini.

Compensation problem – Along with the passport issue, before you can sign with Juventus Suárez you will also have to define your termination of your contract with Barcelona. Mister Koeman excluded him yesterday from the summons of the first summer friendly, sending him another clear message: he does not count on him in his technical project. A total closure that, for the moment, however, did not push the ‘Pistolero’ to renounce the full payment of his last year of contract, a sum that Barça does not intend to grant him.

The alternative – For this reason, while waiting for the great goal and favorite of Luis Suárez, Juventus does not abandon the other tracks at all. The names? Always the same: from Edin Dzeko from Rome to Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli, through free agent Edinson Cavani and low cost solution Olivier Giroud (Chelsea), to the nostalgic return of Álvaro Morata from Atlético de Madrid.
