The Ricci, director of the Venice Zooprophylactic Institute: «Since the beginning of the pandemic we have isolated 37 viruses and 8 variants of Covid, most of these viruses belong to a variant of the mutation that makes it more contagious. In the last few days, however, we have received five samples with contacts in English and three tested positive for the English variant, two from the province of Treviso and one from the province of Vicenza. In Veneto then unique variants were also characterized by a high contagion that could explain the number of infections in Veneto.
