Lombardy President Attilio Fontana said that in the next few days his region will move from the red zone to the orange zone as a result of the improvement in epidemiological conditions. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte had announced late in the morning that after weekly monitoring of the afternoon data there would be “news”, although at the moment the government has not officially announced it.
The transition to the orange zone entails the possibility of circulating freely within the municipality of residence (but not outside the municipality itself and the region) and the reopening of all commercial activities, not just food. On the other hand, bars, pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlors and patisseries will continue to be closed to the public and will only be able to carry out take away food service (until 10 pm) and at home. Instead, second- and third-grade high school students can return for on-site lessons.

The president of Tuscany Eugenio Giani, for his part, in a video posted on his Facebook page, said that he had spoken on Friday morning about the transition of his region to the orange zone with the Minister of Health and that the latter said that, in According to the rules established by the latest Decree of the Prime Minister (DPCM), Tuscany must remain in the red zone at least until November 29, that is, two weeks after being included among the areas with increased risk of contagion. Giani said that he will then sign a provision that will extend the red area until December 3, then “on the occasion of the first meeting of the Scientific Technical Committee, on Friday December 4 Speranza will be able to sign the order that returns Tuscany to the orange zone.”

Cirio hoped that the improvement in conditions would lead as a consequence to “what was foreseen by the decree of the Prime Minister”, that is, to the passage from the red zone to the orange one. The R indext however, it is only one of the 21 parameters that are evaluated for the insertion or exit of a region of the three risk zones.
As anticipated by the newspapers, Calabria and Valle d’Aosta should remain red areas, while Basilicata and Puglia, currently orange areas, could turn red. For now, however, there is no official news.
