The leader of the League Matteo salvini spoke on Friday morning, commenting on the arrest of three accountants close to his party in the Film Commission case in Lombardy. “I know two of those people and I trust them, they are just people. I think it will be resolved in nothing, “he said, expressing” full confidence in the Judiciary. ” “We are very calm, they have been looking for money in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein for years and they never find anything,” he told Radio Anch’io on Rai Radio1.

Yesterday, Alberto Di Rubba, accounting auditor of the Lega group in the Senate, was arrested along with his colleague Andrea Manzoni, who plays the same role in the Chamber, with Michele Scillieri, another accountant (in his Milan office in 2017 the “Lega per Salvini premier”) and with Fabio Barbarroja, Scillieri’s brother-in-law.

The four are under house arrest for the investigation of the purchase of a warehouse in Cormano, in the interior of Milan, to transform it into the headquarters of the Lombardia Film Commission. The purchase would have been promoted by Di Rubba when, until 2018, he was head of the Lombardia Film Commission, on the recommendation of the Lega .: Di Rubba would have built a bespoke contract on the property owned by Andromeda Srl, a company run by Barbarroja, Scillieri’s brother-in-law.

The purchase, which was carried out with public funds from the Lombardy Region, was finalized for 800 thousand euros, largely finished off by the three professionals (Di Rubba and Manzoni raised about 420 thousand euros, another 134 thousand went to Scillieri to through Andromeda). The property was bought by Andromeda Srl for 400 thousand euros: the capital gain on the property was therefore very high. Too much, according to the magistrates, who in July had already arrested Luca Sostegni, a Scillieri front man in the matter, for the same matter.

The accusation is of alteration of the freedom in the choice of the contractor, embezzlement and, only for Sostegni, also of extortion.
