In Italy, in the last 24 hours, 14,842 new cases of coronavirus have been registered with 149,232 swabs. The victims are 634. The proportion of positive swabs is just under 10 percent (9.94%, compared to 12.3% yesterday). The downward trend in hospitalizations is confirmed, which fell by 443 units compared to yesterday, and in intensive care (-37). Sharp decline in current positives, which today are 11,294 less than yesterday.
In Lombardy, the region most affected by the pandemic, the situation continues to show signs of improvement. The number of hospitalized patients (-175), and intensive care (-14), while the victims in the last 24 hours are 128. The number of currently positive people collapses (-4,171).

Veneto is a case
In contrast, the Veneto. New jump in the number of infected in the region: in the last 24 hours the regional bulletin has recorded 3,145 new of 15,589 swabs, for a proportion of 20.17 percent. Currently the positive cases are 79,748. There are 113 more deaths than yesterday, the highest number since the pandemic began. The total number is 4,374 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. Intensive care has risen again (+2 with 35 new admissions) while the number of hospitalizations has not changed compared to yesterday and has not decreased for a week.
In Lazio hospitalizations are decreasing
In Lazio, out of almost 17,000 swabs (+1,019), 1,501 positive cases (+129), 33 deaths (-13) and +973 recovered. Hospitalizations, intensive care, deaths are decreasing and the city of Rome remains below 900 cases. “You have to maintain rigor to keep going down the curve,” says Lazio Councilor for Health Alessio D’Amato.
Umbria, the hospitalized still go down
Covid hospitalized in Umbrian hospitals decreased significantly today, 376, 19 less than yesterday, 57 in intensive care (one more than yesterday). However – reports the website of the Region – there are nine other deaths, 477. The new cases registered in the last 24 hours were 135, 25,344 in total, and 370 recovered, 19,121. The positives currently on Covid fall to 5,746, 244 less than yesterday. 4,005 swabs were tested, 442,893, with a positive rate of 3.37 percent, in stark contrast to yesterday’s 17.2%.
