The decision is not yet final: it will be only after the signing of an ordinance by the Ministry of Health, scheduled for the next few hours. The data is currently being reviewed by the Scientific Technical Committee.
More restrictions were in the air, given the trend of the Coronavirus in Italy and, specifically, in the Regions. In Tuscany, if yesterday there were a number of new cases below 2,000 for the first time in a long time, today infections begin to increase again, reaching almost 2,500 (2,478).
As explained several times, the location of the regions in the various bands is based on 21 parameters. Therefore, the number of new Covid positives is not enough to justify the transition from one area to another. Among other parameters we find: the number of symptomatic cases; hospitalizations; cases in RSA; the percentage of positive swabs; the mean time between symptoms and diagnosis; the number of new shoots; bed occupancy based on actual availability.
