According to Il Fatto Quotidiano, Lapo Elkann was arrested on 12 September in possession of some doses of cocaine, after a control between Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure.
According to the newspaper, Elkann was arrested at night on two occasions: the first time he was fined for speeding, while at the second control, about ten kilometers away, the carabinieri recovered some doses of cocaine, between 3 and 4 grams.
Subsequently, the Genoa Prosecutor opened an investigation against Lapo, under investigation for possession of drugs for trafficking purposes. However, the prosecutor Silvia Saracino requested the closure of the case since the 3-4 grams found in Elkann’s possession can be considered compatible with personal use.
