A Brake affected the cemetery of Camogli, in the province of Genoa. The rock gave way along the Aurelia, thus collapsing part of the cemetery, located on the coastline of the tourist center, about 50 meters above sea level, so much so that numerous coffins, about 200 seconds, they ended up in the sea. The collapse also affected two chapels and the bodies contained within them. Rapallo fire crews immediately arrived at the scene to secure the coffins that had been left in balance, while the team of divers intervened to retrieve those that ended up in the water. Others have been stuck in the rocks and in the dirt brought by the landslide and their recovery is currently difficult. The Nbcr core for biohazard prevention is also on site. At the moment, access to the cemetery is prohibited, but there are no injuries.
The collapse would have been caused by the erosion of the cliff below the cemetery area, compounded in all probability by the violent storms that have hit Liguria in recent years. Tino Revello, Councilor for Public Works in the municipality of Camogli, explained to ANSA that the area had been under observation for some time and Work was being done to consolidate the rocky cliff. under the cemetery: “The area had also been cordoned off because in the last few days strange cracks had been heard.”

we need you.
In these weeks of pandemic, journalists, if we do our work conscientiously, we do a public service. Also for this reason, every day here at ilfattoquotidiano.it we are proud to offer hundreds of new content for free to all citizens: news, exclusive insights, interviews with experts, surveys, videos and much more. All this work, however, comes at great financial cost. Advertising, at a time when the economy is stagnant, offers limited revenue. Not in line with the access boom. That is why I ask those who read these lines to support us. Give us a minimum contribution, equal to the price of a cappuccino per week, which is essential for our work.

But now we are the ones who need you. Because our work has a cost. We are proud to be able to offer hundreds of new content to all citizens for free every day. But advertising, at a time when the economy is stagnant, offers limited revenue. Not in line with the boom in access to ilfattoquotidiano.it. That is why I ask you to support us, with a minimum contribution, equal to the price of one cappuccino per week. A small but fundamental sum for our work. Give us a hand!
