According to the reconstructions of the investigators, last Wednesday, around lunchtime, a 22-year-old Swiss boy sneaked into the apartment where Teresa Scavelli worked, then assaulted her and hit her violently and repeatedly with a frying pan on the head. The agents, alerted by the neighbors, tried to arrest the aggressor, but the man continued to beat the woman. At that moment the police officers opened fire, exploding several shots at the attacker. The young man died instantly, while the woman passed away in hospital where he had been transferred to his head injuries. Head injury with brain injury is too severe.
It is still yellow on the motif. The killer allegedly suffered from psychological problems. But no ties would arise between the two. According to a Swiss newspaper, the boy lived for some years in the house next to the one of the attack without contact, however, with the victim.
“Teresa was very loved because she was a beautiful person. Such an ending is difficult to accept”, said during the funeral in the church of Palù, the parish priest, Don Flavio Silvestri. Around the pain of her family – her husband Salvatore Elia and their three children Giuseppe, Simone and Sarah, gathered in a silent embrace – the community of the municipality of Veronese where Teresa lived for about ten years grew closer.
