The president of the Calabria Region died in the night Jole santelli. The governor of Forza Italia was at her home in Cosenza, where she was found dead this morning by her sister. Santelli, who would have turned 52 in December, had suffered from cancer for some time. The causes of death have yet to be determined. Any rescue attempt was futile.

Graduated from La Sapienza University in Rome, she was enrolled in Forza Italia since 1994.
