Acerbo had ended up in the hospital with a high fever, cough, fatigue and symptoms attributable to Covid-19, in a period in which he had moved to different areas of Italy as part of the electoral campaign. The fever, with the start of therapy, disappeared immediately, but then returned.
Interviewed by Ansa, the secretary said that he had no previous pathologies: “How can you say that it is just a slightly stronger influence? Is irresponsible. It requires a sense of responsibility.
