Italy suspends flights with the United Kingdom after the alarm for the new variant of coronavirus found in the country. This was announced by Chancellor Luigi Di Maio.
‘The UK has sounded the alarm about a new form of Covid that would be the result of a mutation of the virus. As a government we have a duty to protect Italians, for this reason, after having notified the British government, with the Ministry of Health we are about to sign the provision to suspend flights with Great Britain. Our priority is to protect Italy and our compatriots. Chancellor Luigi Di Maio announces it on Facebook.
Therefore, scheduled flights to and from Orio al Serio also stop. On Sunday December 20 there are scheduled two flights to Orio, Edinburgh and London, on Monday four, only in the morning.
