They were attacked by a group because gay. A 21-year-old from Mestre and a 26-year-old from Padua were beaten by a group consisting of four boys and two girls in Padua after kissing. The two were walking hand in hand when the youths pounced on them, a friend tried to defend them but was also beaten.

The three filed a complaint, but also told what happened on social networks. The couple, who were with another friend, walked hand in hand and they exchanged a kiss. The gesture, however, provoked the aggression of a group of boys and girls who began to attack them. In her defense came a group of traffic policemen and then the carabinieri. Now the authorities are reconstructing the incident and with the help of security cameras it will be possible to trace the identity of the attackers.
“We decided to tell what happened because we are tired of having to deal with homophobic episodes. We want to make sure that these manifestations of hatred and discrimination no longer exist ”, explained the victims in a video shared on social networks where they also showed signs of violence. “I also think of young Willy killed by toxic masculinity and these careless behaviors in the face of community and diversity. The time has come to say enough.
