The vaccine a small gesture. Everybody does it. It is an act of love and responsibility. The words are from an excited Claudia Alivernini, the 29-year-old nurse who at 8.30 a.m. appeared before the crowded press in the Spallanzani courtyard, only to wait for her and the other 4 employees who were the first in Italy to be vaccinated in the V- European Day. Today a decisive day. Science and medicine are the only ones that will allow us to get out of this pandemic -he added with a voice that betrayed all his emotion-. I saw for myself how difficult it is to fight this virus.
The Minister: It is the day we were waiting
