Overall, the occupancy rate rose to 57.8% (+0.2 percentage points), but compared to July 2019, the number of employees decreased by 556 thousand units and the occupancy rate decreased by 1.3% .
The significant decrease in inactive people (-1.6%, equal to -224 thousand) affects men, women and all age groups. The comparison between May-July 2020 and February-April 2020, however, indicates a 1.2% lower employment level (-286 thousand). Also in the quarter, people looking for work grew (+ 10.4% equal to 218 thousand more) and inactive people 15-64 years (+ 0.3%, equal to 39 thousand units).
