Io application for cashback: how it works and how to access it – Economy

What is the Io application

The Io application that allows you to manage all the services of the Public Administration through your smartphone. It can be downloaded on both Android devices, from the Play Store, and iOS devices, from the App Store.

Once the application has been downloaded, the first time you use it, you are prompted to log in either through CIE, that is, with the Electronic Identity Card (which can be requested from all Italian municipalities), or through SPID, that is, the Public Digital Identity System.

How to request the Spid

Since many do not have an electronic identity card, let’s see how the SPID code is obtained. Meanwhile, you must be of legal age (you can apply even if you are a resident abroad). You must have a valid identity document, a health card with the tax code, an email address and a phone number.

To obtain the SPID, therefore, you must register on the website of one of the authorized digital identity administrators. Here is the list of the different authorized identity providers. All of these providers provide different registration methods. free (but some of these are also paid). To choose between the different providers, the spid.gov.it site recommends using the one with the most convenient recognition method: that is, in person, by digital signature, webcam or more. Once the recognition method has been chosen, for example by making the digital signature, it will be possible to obtain the SPID code and then access the IO app, with which it will be possible to request a refund of 150 euros for the Christmas extra-cashback, as soon as it will be officially provided by the government.
