The Ministry of Education, in the circular dated 09-05-2020, in a specific paragraph, establishes the operating procedures in case of exhaustion of the GPS or the Institute Rankings for the class A-55 competition: “Musical instrument in institutes of secondary education “.
Substitutions – How they will be allocated in the 2020/21 school year
From the GPS The teachers for the following substitutions will be summoned by the provincial areas:
- Annual substitutions: until August 31 in vacant places and available until 12/31;
- Substitutions until the end of teaching activities: Until June 30th. The appointment is made on Positions that are not vacant, but will be available on 12/31.
From IG Substitute teachers will be summoned by the school directors to fill the following positions:
- Remaining GPS dating positions for positions as of June 30 or August 31;
- Short and temporary substitutes: sickness, maternity, short leave; therefore, maximum assignments until the last day of class, based on the regional school calendar;
- Teaching staff called to take over during the Covid-19 emergency; Also in this case until the last day of class, therefore NO annual assignments to 06/30 or 08/31.
Musical instrument A-55: in case of exhaustion of GPS or GI, space for GAE
In case of exhaustion of the GPS or of the rankings of the institutes of the different instrumental specialties of the A-55, the Ministry of Education has considered appropriate to provide the following operational methods:
1) Depletion of the first and second GPS bands, A-55:
a) For instruments also present in lower secondary school (A-56), the corresponding GAE rankings are used and, alternatively, the GPS.
N.B: The corresponding ranking of the AW55 Flute competition class (Musical High Schools) is the AG56 Flute competition class (music-oriented lower secondary school).
b) for other instruments, present in musical secondary schools and not in secondary schools – Mandolin, Harpsichord, Singing, Organ, Bass Tuba, Viola, Trombone, Organ, Double Bass, Singing, they are used in the following order:
- the A-56 rankings (first GaE and GPS) by consulting the teachers in possession of the specific instrument diploma;
- the A-29 rankings (first GaE and GPS) by consulting the teachers in possession of the specific instrument diploma;
- the A-30 rankings (first GaE and GPS) by consulting the teachers in possession of the specific instrument diploma.
2) Exhaustion of school classifications A-55:
a) School administrators use the rankings of neighboring secondary schools in the province;
b) In case of exhaustion of the rankings of neighboring secondary schools or absence of other musical secondary schools in the province, school leaders proceed according to what is established in point 1) “GPS exhaustion”.
