Instability on the rise in the center-north

A few hours before the transition to the autumnal equinox, scheduled for Tuesday 22 at 15.30, the anomalous heat continues especially in the Center-South with the thermometer that, even today, can reach the threshold of 32-33 degrees. Less intense heat in the North, also due to the approach of a new Atlantic disturbance (number 5) and the climate that, consequently, will tend to gradually worsen in the coming hours. This disturbance will most directly affect the north-central regions early next week, leading to a first phase of largely unstable weather, with many showers and thunderstorms. In the second part of the week, however, there will be a more marked phase of bad weather due to the entry into the Mediterranean of a cavity from the western North Atlantic.

Weather forecast for Sunday. In the middle and upper part of the Adriatic, in the south and in Sicily, the climate is mostly sunny. More cloudiness in the other regions, but there is still room for some light. First morning rainfall in Piedmont, Liguria, Tuscany and Sardinia. In the evening there is a tendency for showers or isolated storms in the Alpine and Pre-Alpine sectors, in the Piedmont plain, in Liguria, in Tuscany and in the interior of the Center. Maximum temperatures decrease slightly in the northwest, in Sardinia and in the central Tyrrhenian regions. Values ​​above 30 degrees in the south and in Sicily, with peaks of 33-34 degrees on the island.

Weather forecast for Monday. In Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily, eastern and southern Sardinia, the weather is mostly sunny, except for temporary and slight cloud cover. In all other regions the sky is mostly cloudy, with short periods. The climate will be unstable, with the risk of showers or thunderstorms, more likely and frequent in Emilia Romagna and in the central regions, especially in the interior and the Apennine areas. Phenomena in general dimming at night. Temperatures: maximums almost everywhere decreasing slightly, more sensitive in areas affected by rainfall. Points around or just over 30 degrees in the extreme south and in Sicily. Mainly weak winds, but with gusts in stormy areas.
