In the last 24 hours there are 125 more positives (yesterday there were 89) of 5169 swabs, against more than 6000 yesterday, on the coronavirus epidemic in Sicily: 2 refer to migrants from the Lampedusa hotspot. The number of victims is increasing: it is an old woman from Salemi, 90 years old, for a total of 304 since the start of the pandemic.
There are currently 2461 positives of which 237 are hospitalized, 16 in intensive care and 2208 in home isolation. The number of healed is also growing, + 75 compared to yesterday (3594 in total).
Of the new cases registered, 56 are in the province of Palermo, 31 in Catania, 6 in Messina, 3 in Syracuse, 5 in Agrigento, 17 in Trapani, 5 in Caltanissetta and 2 in Enna. No cases were registered in the last 24 hours in the province of Ragusa.
There is also a novelty: Palermo has officially become the Sicilian province with the most infections since the beginning of the epidemic. An overtaking that causes a sensation, that of Catania, given that the Ethnic capital was clearly ahead until a few weeks ago. Now, in the Palermo area, 1546 Covid-19 patients have been counted from February to today, while in the Catania area 1521.
New Covid cases on the rise in Italy: 1,786 positive today against 1,640 yesterday, but with almost 5 thousand more buffers (today 108,019). The total since the beginning of the epidemic amounts to 304,323. Deaths are also on the rise, 23 today (up from 20 yesterday), for a total of 35,781.
