Almost one in four people controlled tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus in Puglia: it is the most striking fact that emerges from the usual regional bulletin, based on the information collected by the Department of Health Promotion in the last 24 hours.
In fact, 1,044 cases were found against 4,425 swabs processed. The infections are divided as follows: 267 in the province of Bari, 50 in the province of Brindisi, 110 in the province of BAT, 426 in the province of Foggia, 71 in the province of Lecce, 127 in the province of Taranto , 3 residents outside the region. 10 cases from unknown province were reclassified and reassigned.
Unfortunately, 36 deaths were also recorded: 19 in the province of Bari, 2 in the province of BAT, 2 in the province of Brindisi, 8 in the province of Foggia, 2 in the province of Lecce, 3 in the province of Taranto.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 659,731 tests have been carried out. The patients cured amount to 8,936, while those currently positive are 25,525.
The total number of Covid cases in Puglia is 35,482 divided as follows: 13,841 in the province of Bari; 3,939 in the province of Bat; 2,403 in the province of Brindisi; 8,467 in the province of Foggia; 2,672 in the province of Lecce; 3,898 in the province of Taranto; 261 attributed to residents outside the region; 1 province of unknown residence.
The APL prevention departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
