THE REGIONAL SITUATION, TODAY, OCTOBER 8 2020 – Today in the Region with 11,700 swabs Check in 184 more positive cases compared to yesterday (there were 193 the day before with 15 thousand swabs), of which 71 asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and detection activities. The mean age of the new positives is 39.6 years.
Regarding the situation in the territory, the highest number of cases is registered in the provinces of Bologna (36), Piacenza (28), Modena (26), Reggio Emilia (23), Parma (19), Ravenna (17), Rimini (17) me Cesena (13).
A Bologna There are 34 new cases: 23 symptomatic, of which 11 are considered sporadic and 11 due to outbreaks (family, in social and health establishments, due to the frequency of public places); 3 cases have returned from abroad (Ukraine and Tunisia). Of the 11 asymptomatic, 2 are sporadic and 9 are attributable to outbreaks (family, in socio-sanitary establishments, by frequency of public places and in the workplace). One case is a return from abroad (Albania), another from an Italian region (Tuscany). About Piacenza and province, of 28 new positives, 14 were identified by contact tracing, 7 notified by general practitioners, 3 by symptoms and 3 by screening by risk categories (1 in a nursing home, 1 in the health sector, 1 in work) . Finally, a last one is a case of return from abroad (Morocco).
In the province of Modena, of 26 new positives, 3 are cases of return from abroad (one from Albania, 2 from Morocco), 10 are contacts of known cases related to different family outbreaks; 6 were positive for screening by professional categories and in the school environment, while 7 were sporadic cases. TO Reggio emilia and province, of 23 new positive cases, 10 are attributable to family outbreaks, 9 classified as sporadic, 2 returned from abroad (Morocco); one was identified through tests prior to hospitalization, another is attributable to an outbreak already identified in a facility for the elderly. TO Parma and province there are 19 new positives: 5 were detected as part of the contact tracing activity (of which 2 asymptomatic), 5 through pre-hospital tests; 4 were identified as symptomatic patients, another 4 thanks to screening activity (prison, schools) and one, finally, with preadmission tests.
About the 17 new positives identified Ravenna and province, 7 returned from abroad (3 from Albania, 3 from Moldova, one from Morocco); 2 were identified through tests related to hospitalization, one through professional screening. Five are sporadic cases; 2, finally, are the contacts of a known case related to the family environment. TO Rimini and province of 17 new cases, 12 were detected by contact tracing (of which 4 in the family and 8 in the school), 5 are sporadic cases in the presence of symptoms. In Cesena, of 13 new positives, 8 are contacts of already established cases, of which 7 are related to a marriage; 5 were patients who experienced symptoms (of which 4 were sporadic).
DEATH – There is a death in Parma.
ACTIVE CASES – Active cases, that is, the number of real patients, continue to grow and today are 5,424 (+ 129 compared to yesterday).
HOSPITALIZED PEOPLE – The number of patients in intensive care becomes 13 (- 1), while the number of hospitalized in the other Covid departments is 232 (+ 9).
PEOPLE IN ISOLATION – the people in isolation at home, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital care, or have no symptoms, are generally 5.179 (+ 121).
THE HEALED – The overall healed people reached 26,722 (+ 54 compared to yesterday).

In the province of Ravenna, 17 cases have been registered today: 6 men and 11 women; 11 asymptomatic and 6 with symptoms, 16 in home isolation and 1 hospitalized. In detail: 7 patients returning from abroad (3 Albania, 3 Moldova, 1 Morocco); 2 for screenings related to hospitalization; 1 for professional screening; 5 sporadic patients due to symptoms; 2 to contact a specific family case.
Today no deaths are reported, but 10 complete cures and 2 clinical cures that will require negativization swabs.
